Evangelum, a graphite two-door hypercar designed by Azeria Studios for DEUS Automobiles, seen from the front three-quarter on white sand beneath a deep blue sky.

Design / Research / DevelopmentTurin, Italy

We design vehicles, identities and the systems around them.

Azeria Studios is an independent design and research studio. We work with founders, companies and organisations developing new products, and we develop our own ideas before anyone asks for them.

A proprietary approach

Every Azeria programme begins before form is defined, examining purpose, technology, architecture and experience before the final design is developed.

The method stays inside the studio. The work is shown here.

Case 01 Evangelum × DEUS Automobiles Vehicle design · Brand identity

Evangelum

One question came before the first line: if the logo were removed, would people still recognise it as a DEUS?

So the car and the identity were designed together: a hypercar whose proportions borrow the logic of Gothic architecture, and a rebrand that gives it a voice.

Design language

Every line has a reason.

The pointed arch, the flying buttress and the space between them: the structure of a cathedral, carried into the rear of a car.

“L’idea è che l’identità di un’automobile non cominci dalla carrozzeria e non finisca con un logo incollato sul cofano.”

The idea is that a car’s identity doesn’t begin with the bodywork, and doesn’t end with a logo stuck on the bonnet. Translated from Italian

Our own direction

Designing before the brief exists.

Azeria does not only respond to briefs. It can create the question itself, through its own research and through Project Constantine, a programme born inside the studio.

An Azeria-originated programme · Turin

Coming soon

PROJECT CONSTANTINE

Azeria’s first original automotive programme. Our own question, not a client brief: what should an emotional automobile become in an industry increasingly defined by software, automation and standardisation?

Currently in development. The first chapter will be revealed soon.

Project Constantine is separate from our client work, including Evangelum.

02 Research & Development Design-led, technology-open

The vehicle is becoming a platform.

Vehicle architecture, AI, manufacturing, software, personalisation and supply chains are changing at the same time. We study what that means for what should be designed next.
